If you live in the US, you are familiar with TARGET®. One of the nation’s largest retailers has been in the news lately not only because of its online sales events that coincide with those of Amazon® but also because of the launch of their own meatless patty. Although Target® carries almost everything in its assortments of goods, from foods to furniture, this move was expected considering that other large retailers have also launched their versions of plant-based burger patties.
Target is expanding its plant-based protein offerings
This is good news for most of us. Not only because those of us who shop at Target can now enjoy a variety of plant-based patties and sample Target’s own, but also more plant-based products on the market creates greater competition amongst the manufacturers and as a result of that competition, we often get a better quality final product that will also be more affordable. Target’s Raised & Rooted™ brand patties will cost you only $4.79 for a set of two, which is quite affordable.
Again, just like with some other brands, what I like about these patties is that they are properly named. Not burgers, not plant-based burgers but plant-based patties. I sampled them and I must say that they taste great. Judging by the customer’s comments on Target’s page, five stars is a dominant grade and that is promising.
Target also offers deliveries of their products to your home or office door and you can now get Target’s own plant-based patties delivered to you at a click of a button.
